Cupboard fills with NoPo Cup & Saucer

Having lived in SE Portland most of my time here in Portland, one of the standard haunts for breakfast was always the Cup & Saucer. Your wait would be awarded by delicious scrambles, fresh baked cobblers and some decent coffee to boot.

Since moving into NE I've been happily rewarded with not one, but two additional outposts of the C&S. One on NE Killingsworth, and another on N. Denver not too far from the Dancing Bear - just in case you needed to get your bearings (that's a triple entendre just in case you're keeping score at home). This morning it was the NoPo version we sampled along with friends Dave, Christa and the lovely Amare.

We arrived early (I presume before their rush) and found our friends already awaiting us. Service was fantastic...they didn't mind separate checks, special requests (we love Amber), nor a squirming baby girl. I had the granola with fruit and skim milk. Amber the Juevos Rancheros. Scrambles were handed to Dave and Christa, and Amare rounded things out with some banana pancakes. Most were happy with their offerings, yet the plentiful coffee refills and the special requests made the visit complete. They even commandeered the thermostat to please us. That's got to count for something, right? It does with this reviewer and we're going back soon.
